Visiting YES meeting, Porto

Last September we visited the YES-meeting in Porto with 4 members of the ISCOMS daily board to strengthen our bond as partners, to promote ISCOMS and to gain ideas for our own congress.

The congress offered a three days programm. During these three days, there were a lot of lectures, held by professors and researches from all over the world. Most of them were about very innovative and uptodate research. Students also had a chance to present their research, which was of a high level. Furthermore, there were workshops to attend to.

After a long day of interesting presentations the organizing committee offered some great excursions through Porto, like visiting a Dali exposition, tasting typical port in one of the many winecellars in the city the excursions and visiting locations that had something to do with the medical faculty, followed by a great diner.

The location of the congress was superb. The congress took place at a four-star hotel nearby Porto, where we were also accomodated. Also the lunches and coffeebreaks in the hotel were well taken care off.

The whole congress was very well organised, especially for such a young congress. We gained a lot of great ideas for our own congress, made a lot of promotion and improved the relationship with the organizing committee of the YES-meeting. We had a real great time in Porto.
