Jos W.M. van der Meer
Jos W.M. van der Meer is Professor of General Internal Medicine at the Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Centre since 1988.He is responsible for the speciality training in internal medicine in the Nijmegen region.
His clinical work concerns host defense defects, infection and fever syndromes as well as chronic fatigue syndrome. He performs basic and clinical research in these areas of expertise.
He has (co-) authored more than 600 articles in peer-reviewed journals and he is a member of the National Health Council, a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (London). He is a member of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts & Sciences (KNAW) of which he is vice president since 2005.
