workshop: “speed dating”: following a PhD programme

Do you want to go further in research and do a PhD in the future or do you want to explore the possibilities of doing research in Groningen? Then you have to go to this workshop! During this workshop lasting 90 minutes, you will meet many people from every research department of the UMC Groningen. These doctors or professors are interested in meeting potential (foreign) students who want to do a PhD at their graduate school.

The programme is as follows: The workshop will start with a brief introduction to the many possibilities for research in the UMC Groningen. Then the real “speed dating” begins. Everyone will be able to talk to a researcher for a few minutes in a type of rotation scheme. In this way everybody has the opportunity to find out more about every research department and what they have to offer. You might want to exchange some contact information during that time for any future correspondence.

Do not underestimate the possibilities that these short introductions and first impressions can offer. This workshop is all about taking a first step towards a possible PhD and it might develop to be the start of a successful research career in Groningen. Afterwards, you can get a list of all the email addresses so that you can contact the graduate school of your choice in the future.
