Workshop: How to make choices for a research project
The objective of the workshop is to help students to identify factors that play a role in making the optimal choices for their research project, taking into account their personal situation and interests. The workshop aims at students that have not yet started their research project. However, students that have already started a research project are welcome to share their experiences.A science rotation is a substantial part of the Medical curriculum. For many students it is the only time in their carreer that they are full time involved in doing research themselves. For some it may be only one step in a long scientific carreer, often in combination with clinical practice. Either way, the science rotation should be a unique experience. Therefore, it is important to make the right choices. To a large extent this is the responsibility of the individual student him or herself. Which subject? Which supervisor? Where? When?
These are questions many students face when they start thinking about their research project. In the workshop these questions will be discussed and a guideline will be given.
