SCIENCE UP THE WORLD 15TH INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CONGRESS OF MEDICAL SCIENCES JUNE 3RD - 6TH 2008

ISCOMS Research Fellowship

The ISCOMS research fellowship (IRF) gives active participants in the congress an opportunity to acquire a taste for doing research, particularly in the Netherlands. Various research institutes at the University Medical Centre Groningen (UMCG) are interested in welcoming talented international medical students to their institutes. The fellowship is a challenging two week programme during which the student is expected to actively gather a great deal of knowledge related to their topic of interest. In this relatively short period the student has the chance to become acquainted with performing research in a leading institute, to meet top-researchers, and importantly to learn about the possibilities of doing PhD research in the Netherlands.

IRFs are available for active participants in our congress only. The IRF projects will take place during a two-week period directly following the ISCOMS congress (9th till 20th June). This is beneficial because the participant will not need to pay any additional travel costs, as the one immediately follows the other. Students following an IRF will be provided with accommodation free of charge for the duration of the project and additional pocket-money of 100 euros to facilitate their stay.

When your abstract is accepted to our congress, you will receive information about how to apply for an IRF. It is not possible to apply in any other way.

Good luck with your application!
